It is marked on the back for silver and Tobias, Mexico
Upon doing some research on the web I believe this style was popular and made between 1920's-1940's.
This item weighs 17 grams
It measures 2  6/8 inches wide and 1 7/8 inches height.
This item belonged to my husband's great aunt who was a world traveler and collected amazing artifacts and jewelry.
She would have been 102 years old today.
Please note that the coin shown in the 5th photo is a silver dollar with a diameter of 1.5 inches, not a quarter.
